Film is the festival's heart. But for nine days DokuFest uses all of Prizren as a cinema, stage, classroom, debate space and meeting point.

Short films are finished works, not trailers. They are often screened in groups, so one ticket can introduce several stories and styles.
The programme also includes fiction and experimental films, DokuKids, immersive work, exhibitions, debates, masterclasses and conversations with filmmakers.
DokuNights is the festival's music arm. You can attend only a film, only a music night or connect both in the same day.
Go for a story you would not normally find at the cinema, hear its maker, meet people and experience Prizren differently. You do not need to understand the entire programme or watch many films.

Start with a film, continue with a Lorenc Antoni talk and close at DokuKino Plato or Kino Lumi.
Save energy during the day, see one night film and leave for Andrra Stage early. Avoid screenings that finish too close together.
DokuKids screenings are free for ages 6-14. Workshops required separate applications and fees, so check their status before going.
Competitions are the fastest route to new work. Special programmes work best when you know the mood you want.

GETTING THERE↗Leave from Prishtina Bus Station. Gjirafa Travel currently shows an average fare of about €5 and an average journey of roughly 1 hour 46 minutes; choose your date for the live timetable and check the return before leaving, as price, duration and seats vary by operator.
FIND A BUS↗Walk to central venues. Allow about 20 minutes from Shadërvan to Kino Abi Çarshia. Leave earlier or take a taxi for Andrra Stage.

Do not connect two films without time to exit, walk, queue and drink water, especially when venues change.
Language and subtitles vary by film. Read the film page before buying, not after sitting down.
Open venues before losing signal or battery. A screenshot of the map and schedule is a useful backup.
Prizren can be hot in August. Carry water and do not place the Fortress climb between tight screenings.
Your ticket, map and programme live on your phone. A power bank beats one more photo at 2% battery.
