KUKAJ IS PART OF THE FESTIVAL.
Kukaj is a small village in the Gollak hills near Prishtina. Once nearly abandoned, its old houses and yards were gradually restored as stages, exhibition spaces and the home of Kosovo's first Etno Theatre.
That is why Etno Fest belongs here. Tradition is not treated as decoration, but as something to preserve, use and reinterpret through contemporary art. Kukaj connects memory with hospitality, craft, storytelling and meeting others.
